Blooriedotcom Wins Again At Musselburgh

You cannot keep a good horse down and today we had a brave and genuine win from Blooriedotcom who keep his position despite a loose horse trying to run him off his line. We are delighted for his owners and for the team here who have battled with the elements, getting wet and cold but keeping the horses warm, fit and content through last week's storm and snow. It has been a great achievement.

All of our runners ran with great credit; Gemologist was so close to her first win to be mugged at the line, but her second place confirms that she is back on the up and we are looking forward to the Northern Lights finals day with her.

Izzy's Champion also was second, staying the three mile trip well and he has more improvement in him when he tidys up his jumping.

Island Heights returned to the track with a solid third place while in the same race Emirat De Canana looked much happier back over hurdles and his sixth place will be improved next time.

We are back at Musselburgh tomorrow for a rescheduled meeting, and with many thanks to the team there for making this rapidly organised fixture possible.

We start with our Danish bred Magnum, a lovely type who has won and been placed in Scandinavia and has been here for a few months learning about hurdling. Tomorrow will be a fact finding mission for all of us, but I expect him to run with credit. You can read about his pedigree and home stud HERE

It will be good to see Vino's Choice run in the two mile handicap hurdle; I thought that he ran a blinder on his return to the track last time and He seems to have improved at home.

Shanroe Street and Misfits both run in the three mile chase; Shanroe was unlucky last time when being erratic over his fences, but he has schooled well at home, while Misfits looks fabulous in his coat and has been working hard in the past week.

Methodtothemadness has her hood off and a tongue strap on to see if she can return to her winning form. She is also up in trip but that should suit her at this sharper track.

Finally, Celtic Flames run in the two mile handicap chase, a course and distance winner he is another to be thriving at home, despite the weather conditions.
